ボーカル 1 本を仕上げるための処理の「土台」を、ノブ 1 つに固めたものです。中で動いているのは、6 年間・3000 本以上のボーカルに使ってきた固定のチェーン。あなたが決めるのは「どれだけ追い込むか」の 1 次元だけ。設定を作る時間を、曲そのものへ回すための道具です。

The groundwork for finishing one vocal track, frozen into a single knob. Inside runs a fixed chain used on more than three thousand vocals over six years. The only thing you decide is how hard to push. The time you would spend building a chain goes back into the song.

刺さる響きを、先に消す

tame the ringing first

声、マイク、部屋。ボーカルには必ず耳に刺さる共鳴が混じります。RESONANCE はそれを自動で抑えます。ON のままで大丈夫。素材が既に整っているときはフェーダーで量を下げてください。

DELTA を押すと、抑えている成分「だけ」が聴こえます。何が消えているかを確かめたいときに。

Voice, mic, room: every vocal carries resonances that ring in the ear. RESONANCE suppresses them automatically. Leave it on; pull the fader down if the take is already clean.

DELTA plays only what is being removed, so you can check what is actually going.

ノブは 1 つ、方向は 2 つ

最も声を張るサビで INPUT メーターが青白い帯に入るまで回す。そこが、このチェーンを作ったときの基準です。濃ければ左、物足りなければ右。

EXCITING は華やかで前に出る方向、CLEAN は素直で落ち着いた方向。どちらが正解ということはありません。

Turn until the INPUT meter sits in the blue-white band in the loudest part of the song. That is where the chain was tuned. Left for cleaner, right for denser.

EXCITING is brighter and more forward; CLEAN is plain and calm. Neither is the right answer.

何が起きたかは、数字で見える

GR、CREST（入 → 出でどれだけ均されたか）、TILT（音色の傾き）、DE-ESS。右の数値を見れば、ノブを回して何が変わったかが分かります。

ANALYZER を開くと、入力と出力のスペクトルを重ねて見られます。

kuon audio は、作曲と歌をしている Kuon がひとりでやっています。歌ってみたのボーカルを 6 年、3000 本以上処理してきて、毎回同じチェーンを組み直すのをやめたくて作ったのが TKK VOCAL です。無償で配ります。使ってみて合わなければ捨ててください。

kuon audio is one person: Kuon, a composer and singer in Japan. After six years and more than three thousand cover vocals, I wanted to stop rebuilding the same chain every time. That became TKK VOCAL. It's free. If it doesn't suit your voice, just delete it.

マイク
MICS: AT2020 / C214 / OC18 / TLM102 などを基準に調整。C800G や 540S のように高域がよく出るマイクでは、後ろに EQ を挿してハイシェルフで下げてください。; Tuned around AT2020 / C214 / OC18 / TLM102. Very bright mics (C800G, 540-series) may need a high-shelf cut after it.

初回に警告が出ます。コード署名をしていないため、macOS / Windows とも初回に「開発元を確認できません」と出ます。「作者が身元証明の登録をしていない」という意味で、中身に問題があるという意味ではありません。手順は同梱の README にあります。気になる場合は、無理に入れないでください。

You will see a warning on first launch. The installers are not code-signed, so macOS and Windows will say the developer cannot be verified. It means the developer hasn't registered an identity, not that the file is harmful. The README shows the steps. If that makes you uncomfortable, don't install it.
